Casey Caruso, a former investment partner at Paradigm, has raised $75 million to launch Topology, a new early-stage venture firm. The fund aims to support founders working on frontier technologies that push the boundaries of human progress.

The $75 million funding round for Topology was led by Cendana Capital and Accolade Partners, with notable investors including an undisclosed OpenAI founder, Marc Andreessen and Chris Dixon from Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer’s Bob Goodman, and celebrity Paris Hilton.
Caruso’s Background and Vision
Caruso, recognized in Forbes’ 30 under 30 list in 2022, brings a wealth of experience from her time at Paradigm, where she oversaw major crypto investments like Coinbase, Uniswap, and Optimism. She also has a background in engineering at Google and angel investing, having started at 15.
Topology will focus on backing early-stage companies in sectors like brain-computer interfaces, decentralized protocols, semiconductors, and new cities.
The Venture Landscape
Despite a drop in crypto VC funding, early-stage startups like those Topology plans to back are still attracting significant investments, accounting for 85% of funding in the latest reports.
