Kanye West Claims X Celebrities Hacks Used to Pump Meme Coins Are Fake Hacks

Kanye West, now known as Ye, has alleged that celebrity X (formerly Twitter) hacks being used to promote fraudulent Solana-based meme coins, are not real hacks. On Friday, he shared a screenshot showing an unidentified contact offering him $2 million to promote a fake “Ye currency.”

The proposed deal included $750,000 upfront and $1.25 million after 16 hours—provided the post remained live for eight hours. The sender also instructed him to later claim, “My account was hacked.” Ye rejected the offer, calling it a scam against his community.

His claims raise doubts about past celebrity hacks, such as Drake’s account breach in December, which promoted the $ANITA meme coin and generated $5 million in trading volume before being exposed.

Ye’s account has been deleted after a huge flood of antisemitic and misogynist tweets, was his account really hacked this time ?

Ye Seeks Direct Contact With Coinbase CEO

Ye also expressed interest in connecting with Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong “concerning crypto.” He asked an unidentified contact to help him reach Armstrong, sparking discussions about self-custody and decentralized exchanges (DEXs).

Crypto community members warned Ye about the risks of centralized exchanges, emphasizing that true ownership only comes from holding Bitcoin in a cold wallet.

Ye’s return to X included multiple crypto-related posts but was overshadowed by antisemitic remarks, leading to renewed scrutiny of his online activity.
