Pump.fun Brings Back Livestreaming — But Only for 5% of Users (For Now)

Pump.fun, the Solana-based memecoin platform, just turned the livestream feature back on — but with serious strings attached.

What’s Pump.fun Again?

Pump.fun is basically where memecoins are born, hyped, and sometimes die within minutes. Last year, the platform got a little too wild when livestreams turned into chaos.

Some creators were pulling ridiculous stunts — including threats and NSFW content — just to pump their coins. It got so bad, Pump.fun shut livestreams down completely.

So… What’s Changed?

Alon Cohen, the platform’s co-founder, says livestreaming is back — but only for 5% of users right now. Why? They’re testing their new “industry standard moderation systems.”

Translation: No more crazy stuff (hopefully).

The New Rules of Pump.fun Live

→ No violence or threats
→ No animal abuse
→ No pornographic content
→ No risking safety of minors
→ No pretending this is the dark web

But here’s the catch — Pump.fun admits a lot of content will still probably be NSFW. Their policy is basically: “Be creative, but don’t be a maniac.”

Why Bring Livestreaming Back?

Even with the memecoin market cooling down, livestreams are a key part of Pump.fun’s vibe. It creates hype, chaos, and weirdly — community.

This comeback is their test run to see if livestreams can be fun without becoming a crime scene.
