Do Kwon, co-founder of Terraform Labs, may have accessed a wallet containing over 1,075 Bitcoin, worth around $62 million. According to blockchain analytics firm Arkham Intelligence, on Sept. 2, more than 1,075 Bitcoin were moved from a Terraform wallet to another address. It is unclear if Kwon, currently in Montenegro awaiting possible extradition to the US or South Korea, was involved in the transfer.
Kwon’s legal troubles began after the collapse of the Terra ecosystem in 2022, leading to charges from both the US and South Korea. He was arrested in Montenegro in 2023 on unrelated charges and sentenced to four months in prison. Since his release, Kwon has remained in Montenegro while both countries seek his extradition. His future remains uncertain as the case moves through local and high courts.
