UK Pension Fund Dives Into Bitcoin

A UK pension fund just invested 3% of its portfolio in Bitcoin after completing a training and due diligence process. Cartwright, a pension firm, announced the news, with their head of investment, Steve Robinson, noting this move helps reduce reliance on employer funding.

Pension Funds Worldwide Showing Interest

Globally, pension funds are getting interested in crypto. UK’s Legal and General recently looked into tokenized funds, and in South Korea, a pension service invested $34 million in Bitcoin. Michigan’s pension fund in the US also holds Bitcoin and Ethereum investments worth about $18 million.

What’s Next for Crypto Regulation in the UK?

With new UK leadership, digital asset regulation isn’t a top priority, but the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) continues overseeing and enforcing rules in the crypto space.
