David Sacks Has Just Two Years to Push Crypto Policies

David Sacks, the new “AI and crypto czar,” has only two years to get major crypto policies passed before the 2026 midterm elections. Joe Doll, from Magic Eden, pointed out that with the Republican majority in the House being so slim, the government could become gridlocked, making it harder to pass crypto regulations.

Doll stressed that this short window is crucial, as the House is likely to change hands after the next election. If that happens, pushing crypto laws through will be much tougher.

Trump’s Pro-Crypto Appointments and the GOP’s Plans

Crypto supporters have welcomed Trump’s recent appointments, including David Sacks, who has long backed cryptocurrencies. Trump also nominated Paul Atkins for SEC chair and Stephen Miran for the Council of Economic Advisors, both of whom are known for supporting innovation and deregulation.

Rep. French Hill mentioned that the GOP plans to introduce a digital asset market structure bill, aiming to create a clear crypto regulatory framework in the first 100 days of the next legislative session.
