Colorado Pastor Busted for $3.4M Crypto Scam

A Colorado pastor and his wife just got hit with 40 charges over a massive crypto fraud.
Eli and Kaitlyn Regalado ran an online church and convinced fellow believers to buy a token called INDXcoin.
They said God told them to create it. Investors lost $3.4 million.

Holy Coin, Batman
Between 2022 and 2023, the couple pushed their coin through the “Kingdom Wealth Exchange.”
The pitch? Divine blessings and financial freedom. The result? Zero value.

According to prosecutors, the token was worthless from day one.
They allegedly used $1.3M for personal stuff—like home makeovers—claiming “the Lord” approved.

300 Faithful, All Rugged
Over 300 people invested in INDXcoin. Not one came out ahead.
Authorities say this was a well-wrapped lie wrapped in faith-speak.

John Walsh, Denver’s DA, said this was a big step toward justice.
Colorado officials worked with securities regulators to bring the hammer down.

“God Said It Would Work”
This isn’t new. Back in January, the couple was already under fire.
They allegedly told investors that putting money into INDXcoin was “divinely inspired.”

Tung Chan, Colorado’s Securities Commissioner, said Regalado exploited Christian communities with “outlandish promises.”

📌 Token = a crypto asset you can trade, like a digital coin.
📌 Rugged = crypto slang for getting scammed when a project suddenly disappears.
