ATLANTA — NCR Atleos Corporation (NYSE: NATL) (“Atleos”) today announced the launch of a new LibertyX Bitcoin Cashout feature whereby enrolled LibertyX customers can sell bitcoin, picking up their cash conveniently at ATMs across the United States at thousands of leading merchant locations with a transaction point within five miles of more than three in four Americans once rolled out across all participating ATMs.

This new feature is said to be powered by Atleos’ ReadyCode API suite. ReadyCode is a system that generates one-time-use codes to facilitate transactions like cash withdrawals without needing traditional cards or payment networks. In order to use this feature, LibertyX customers are required to stage a transaction and use their mobile app to locate the nearest participating ATM to pick up their cash.
My Opinion
Since the introduction of cryptocurrency, adoption has been a major factor that its users seek, and news like this clearly triggers further adoption. In other words, when there are easy mechanisms and tools in place to foster the use of cryptocurrency (thereby making its usage simple), more awareness is created, with more users coming on board to make use of it due to its availability.
