FIFA and Mythical Games Join Forces for a New Soccer Game

FIFA is working with Mythical Games to launch FIFA Rivals, a free-to-play soccer game for iOS and Android by summer 2025. Players can build teams and compete in fast-paced matches.

Targeting Millions of Gamers

Mythical’s CEO, John Linden, expects FIFA Rivals to draw over 100 million players. Their previous game, NFL Rivals, attracted 6 million players. With FIFA’s massive global reach—5 billion watched the 2022 World Cup—the game could reach a huge audience.

Blockchain-Powered Gameplay

FIFA Rivals will run on the Mythos blockchain, secured by Polkadot. It offers blockchain features, allowing players to own in-game items and earn money through play-to-earn mechanics.

Backed by Experience

Mythical Games’ earlier success, Blankos Block Party, handles 3 million transactions monthly. The Mythos Foundation, launched in 2022, supports gamers, developers, and esports, helping blockchain gaming grow.

Expanding Web3 Gaming

After securing $37 million in funding in 2023, Mythical Games is expanding its blockchain projects and improving its marketplace for games like FIFA Rivals.
