VanEck Extends Fee Waiver on Bitcoin ETF

VanEck has extended its fee waiver for its Bitcoin ETF (HODL) to attract more investors. The waiver now lasts until January 2026 and covers the first $2.5 billion in assets, up from $1.5 billion, which was set to expire in March 2025.

Kyle DaCruz from VanEck says they made this move because the fund is nearing the original cap. He hopes the extension will get more people interested in Bitcoin and digital assets as part of their investments.

VanEck charges a 0.20% management fee for the ETF, slightly higher than some competitors like Grayscale, which charges 0.15%.

Bitcoin ETFs have grown rapidly this year, with total assets reaching $100 billion as of Nov. 21. The largest fund, iShares Bitcoin Trust, manages $46 billion.
