Binance pauses card withdrawals in Ukraine
Binance has stopped Visa and Mastercard withdrawals for users in Ukraine. The change began this week and affects bank cards linked to Bifinity.
The exchange says the update only applies to Ukrainian users who used Bifinity for fiat transfers. Other regions are not impacted.
Why the change happened
Bifinity, Binance’s fiat payment partner, is exiting services due to regulatory changes. This forced Binance to adjust some payment routes.
Crypto trading still works. Users can buy, sell, deposit, and hold digital assets without limits.
What still works for users
Visa and Mastercard deposits remain active. Apple Pay and Google Pay also continue to support account top-ups.
Swift transfers are still available for deposits and withdrawals. Peer-to-peer trading is unchanged and keeps running normally.
More limits during the pause
Recurring crypto purchases are paused. Fiat limit buy orders will not process until services resume.
Zen.com transfers are also affected. Full service is expected to return on January 6, 2026.
Footing:
Fiat: government-issued money like USD or EUR.
On-ramp/off-ramp: ways to move money into or out of crypto platforms.
