Vietnam Launches National Blockchain for IDs and Records

Vietnam just rolled out its own national blockchain platform called NDAChain.
This system will secure identity checks, digital contracts, and recordkeeping.

Meet NDAChain: Vietnam’s Official Blockchain
Announced Friday, the platform is built by Vietnam’s National Data Association and run by the Ministry of Public Security.
NDAChain is here to protect real-time data and power public services like finance, health, education, and more.

It blends centralized control with decentralized tools.
That means stronger security and global compatibility—without giving up oversight.

There are 49 validator nodes.
Some are run by state agencies like the NDA.
Others are operated by private giants like Zalo, Masan, and SunGroup.

Not Just Any Blockchain
This is a permissioned Layer-1 blockchain—think private club.
Only approved validators can verify transactions, adding extra safety.

NDAChain uses Proof-of-Authority with zero-knowledge proofs to boost privacy.
It supports smart contracts, a shared ledger, and a digital ID system called NDA DID.

📌 Smart contracts = programs that run on a blockchain when certain rules are met.
📌 Proof-of-Authority = a consensus model where trusted parties validate transactions.
📌 Zero-knowledge proof = tech that confirms info without revealing the info itself.

Blockchain + Identity = NDA DID
NDA DID is Vietnam’s answer to digital identity.
It will verify users during transactions and let them sign digital contracts instantly.

The tool, NDAKey, can verify someone’s ID in seconds.
This is meant to fight scams, ID theft, and fake documents.
