Samsung and Coinbase Bring Direct Crypto Buys to Galaxy Wallet

Samsung is turning its phones into crypto hubs. Galaxy users in the US can now buy cryptocurrency straight from Samsung Wallet thanks to a new expansion of its partnership with Coinbase.

The rollout starts with 75 million American Galaxy users, who will also get access to Coinbase One. That subscription offers zero trading fees, bigger staking rewards, and protection against unauthorized account losses.

Coinbase’s Shan Aggarwal said the move combines Samsung’s global scale with Coinbase’s reliability. “We’re giving Galaxy users the best way to get into crypto,” he said. Expansion to worldwide markets is already in the works.

With over one billion active Galaxy devices across the globe, this partnership could funnel a wave of new mainstream investors into crypto. For Samsung, it’s another step to make its Wallet app more than just payments — now it’s a full-on crypto gateway.
