Revolut Unveils Free 1:1 USD-to-Stablecoin Swaps, Making Crypto Access Effortless

Revolut breaks the barriers between fiat and crypto

Revolut just flipped the script on crypto conversions. The fintech giant now lets users swap USD and stablecoins like USDT and USDC at a clean 1:1 rate — no fees, no spreads, no nonsense.

You can move up to $578,630 every 30 days completely free. “We’ve removed all friction of moving between fiat and crypto,” said Revolut’s crypto product head Leonid Bashlykov.

Powering stablecoin swaps across six blockchains

The feature supports conversions across Ethereum, Solana, and Tron, among others. Revolut says it’s covering the internal spread to keep the rate perfectly balanced — as long as the stablecoins hold their pegs.

The company already holds nearly $35 billion in customer assets, up 66% from 2023. This move strengthens Revolut’s position as the most crypto-friendly neobank in Europe.

Regulated and ready for expansion

This rollout follows Revolut’s recent MiCA license approval from Cyprus, letting it offer regulated crypto services in 30 European Economic Area countries. It’s part of a broader trend — fintechs warming up to crypto infrastructure.

A big deal for small businesses

Experts say the 1:1 swap will help small and medium businesses in volatile economies like Turkey. No more SWIFT fees, no slippage, no forex pain. Stablecoins become real working capital, not just speculative assets.

Western Union, MoneyGram, and even Zelle are testing their own stablecoin systems — but Revolut’s no-fee conversion might just set a new global standard.

(Footnotes: Stablecoin = crypto token pegged to fiat currency like USD. Spread = difference between buy and sell price.)
